Call for Submissions

You & Your Work (Y&YW) is back, this time in partnership with Arnolfini,The Wellspring Healthy Living Centre and The Walled Garden Project in Bristol, producing their ninth festival entitled ‘Here and There’ presenting and exploring risk-taking participatory performance in relation to shifting locations and contexts. The festival will take place on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th of June 2012.

If you have Live work (Live Art, Performance, Intervention, Dance, Installation..) which explores participation and social engagement and/ or relates to the theme ‘Here and There’, we would love to hear from you. Arnolfini’s current theme is based around ‘A Parellel Universe’, which we are also happy for you to explore.

Y&YW9 is looking to invite four (performance) works, to be presented on Saturday the 16thof June at Arnolfini, alongside the final outcomes of three commissioned projects, as well as an international work and a panel discussion on participatory performance.
The performances could take place in and around Arnolfini’s Dark and Light studios, Reading room and Main Auditorium, although projects utilising the wider building and outdoors works are very welcome too.

We are offering a ₤250 performance fee, accommodation and help towards travel expenses if necessary.

Deadline for submissions is Saturday the 28th of April at 5pm.
Please submit (on no more than 2 A4 pages altogether): 
1. Your name and contact details
2. Concept of proposed work
3. Technical requirements
4. Audience and duration
5. A marketing blurb (100 words) and 2 high res photos, 300dpi, and photo credits
6. A brief artist statement
And:
7. Comprehensible documentation of your work via:
internet/ videolink, DVD or CD-R
